The safety briefing was thorough without being scary, which my wife really appreciated since she gets nervous about flying. When we lifted off from Kathmandu, watching the sun come up over the valley was magical. The flight to Lukla took about 45 minutes, and we could see terraced farms, small villages, and rivers winding through the mountains below. After refueling in Lukla, things got even more spectacular.
